Our Charter
DV-alert contributes to one of the priority outcomes of the Australian Government's National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children 2010-2022 by building capacity in frontline workers within universal services for whom family violence is not a core function of their role.
Through the DV-alert Program, Lifeline will:
- Deliver workshops across the country, including in remote and rural locations
- Ensure that community frontline workers in Australia have access to quality domestic and family violence response training
- Provide culturally sensitive and appropriate information and training
- Assess the needs of community frontline workers when engaging with people subjected to domestic and family violence to inform and continuously improve the training we deliver
- Improve the content and delivery of the training based on current social and policy contexts that directly affect the people subjected to domestic and family violence
