DV-alert contributes to one of the priority outcomes of the Australian Government's National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children 2010-2022 by building capacity in front-line workers within universal services for whom family violence is not a core function of their role.
Through the DV-alert Program, Lifeline will:
Deliver workshops across the country, including in remote and rural locations
Ensure that community front-line workers in Australia have access to a quality domestic and family violence response training
Provide culturally sensitive and appropriate information and training
Assess the needs of community front-line workers when engaging with people subjected to domestic and family violence to inform and continuously improve the training we deliver
Improve the content and delivery of the training based on current social and policy contexts that directly affect the people subjected to domestic and family violence
