DV-alert comes with a whole range of benefits for community frontline workers. On top of that, participants who complete the nationally recognised training are provided with continuous support on response and referral.
Benefits of Nationally Recognised Training
- Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CHCDFV001 - Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence
- Opportunity to network with other frontline workers in the community
- Better referral service through increased knowledge of local resources and support
- Membership in the upcoming DV-alert online community (Members Portal) which provides resources on domestic and family violence (available only for participants who have successfully completed a DV-alert workshop or e-Learning stream).
Benefits of Non-accredited Training
- Learn about how domestic and family violence affects people around you
- Tools for support to take home
- Certificate of attendance (upon request)
Need financial assistance to complete the training?
For community frontline workers/volunteers, our DV-alert training fee is waived as the program is fully funded by the Department of Social Services. Participants who successfully complete a face-to-face workshop may also be eligible for travel, accommodation, and staff backfill expenses. Find out more about Financial Assistance available.
