Self-paced eLearning
DV-alert eLearning is designed for participants who prefer the flexibility of learning online.
The eLearning General and eLearning Women with Disability are accredited courses offered as an alternative to the face-to-face workshops. eLearning participants have nine weeks to complete the training course to learn how to Recognise, Respond and Refer, undertake a knowledge assessment and finish with a virtual or online practical skills demonstration.
The DV-alert eLearning Foundations is offered on a standalone basis or as part of the Assessment Pathway towards assessment. This course is designed as self-paced, online learning and will take approximately 13 hours to complete.
eLearning Foundations
This course supplements the content in the 2 day workshops, able to be completed before or after attending the 2-day workshops, and offering the opportunity for more in depth study with further optional reading, quizzes and videos.

This nationally recognised course is for frontline workers to learn to how to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence, respond appropriately and refer to support services. This course covers the scope, patterns and impacts of violence, what to consider for diverse groups, communication skills, safety planning, referral pathways and more.
eLearning Women with Disability
This nationally recognised course is for frontline workers to learn to how to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence within the context of women with disability, respond appropriately and refer to support services. This course covers the scope, patterns and impacts of violence, what to consider for diverse groups, communication skills, safety planning, referral pathways and more.

Learners attending these workshops need to have previously attended any 2-day DV-alert workshop or completed an accredited online DV-alert course as these workshops build on the DV-alert foundational learning. You must have attended any 2-day DV-alert workshop (Foundations or legacy) within the past 2 years to enrol in any of the DV-alert 1-day Focused Workshops.
First Nations
Further training for frontline workers who have completed any 2-day DV-alert workshop, this workshop focuses on family violence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts. Frontline workers will learn how to Recognise, Respond and Refer appropriately and with care.
Gendered Violence in Diverse Communities
Further training for frontline workers who have completed any 2-day DV-alert workshop, this workshop focuses on complex forms of violence including forced marriage, dowry abuse, female genital mutilation/cutting, trafficking and domestic servitude. Frontline workers will learn how to Recognise these forms of abuse, Respond and Refer appropriately and with care.
Men who use Violence
Further training for frontline workers who have completed any 2-day DV-alert workshop, this workshop focuses on the drivers of men’s use of violence and how to take actions that will lower the risk these men present to their partners and children. Frontline workers will learn how to Recognise, Respond and Refer appropriately and with care. Note that you will not learn counselling, therapy or behaviour change skills in this 1-day workshop.
Multicultural
Further training for frontline workers who have completed any 2-day DV-alert workshop, this workshop focuses on domestic and family violence in culturally and linguistically diverse contexts, including settlement and humanitarian settings. Frontline workers will learn how to Recognise, Respond and Refer appropriately and with care.
Women with Disability
Further training for frontline workers who have completed any 2-day DV-alert workshop, this workshop focuses on domestic and family violence occurrence in women with disability. Frontline workers will learn how to Recognise, to Respond appropriately and to Refer to support services relevant to women with disability.
Members of the public are invited to attend these workshops for free to learn about domestic and family violence.
2-Hour DV-aware
Free for members of the public and community to attend, this workshop will explain what domestic and family violence is and how to Recognise the signs. Attendees will learn how to Respond safely and options for Referral for the person experiencing domestic and family violence.
1-Day DV-aware
Free for members of the public and community to attend, this workshop offers a deeper understanding of the complexities of domestic and family violence. Attendees will learn about the impact of family violence and how to Recognise the signs, Respond safely and Refer effectively.
Brothers Standing Tall
This two-hour workshop is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men aged 16 years and over to learn about the impact of family violence on community. It is delivered by experienced Aboriginal male trainers at locations across Australia.
