Travel reimbursement
To qualify
Frontline workers enrolled in a face-to-face DV-alert workshop, excluding in-house workshops, who meet all the following criteria:
- Your primary place of work is in a regional or remote location with an RA2-RA5 rating. Find out here (select the ASGC Remoteness Areas 2006 option).
- Your primary place of work is more than 50km from a workshop in regional or remote location, or more than 100km from a workshop in a metropolitan location.
- You have not previously received a travel reimbursement claim for attendance at a DV-alert workshop.
- You have completed the entire workshop you are claiming travel reimbursement for.
- You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
What can be claimed
Frontline workers satisfying the above criteria may be reimbursed a maximum of $220, including GST, for attendance at a one day workshop , or $440, including GST, for attendance at a two days workshop to cover travel and accommodation expenses.

If the workshop is in a very remote location, you may be able to claim three nights’ accommodation but only within the reimbursement total of $440, including GST.
