eLearning Women with Disability course
This nationally recognised self-paced training course is offered at no cost to frontline workers who prefer online learning or cannot attend face-to-face workshops.
What you will learn
This nationally recognised course teaches frontline workers how to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence, within the context of women with disability, respond appropriately and refer to support services. This course covers the scope, patterns and impacts of violence, what to consider for diverse groups, communication skills, safety planning, referral pathways and more.
Learners have nine weeks to complete the training, which covers 13 topics, plus 2 compulsory assessments.
By the end of the training, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to:
- Identify and respond to the needs of clients who may be experiencing domestic and family violence
- Respond appropriately with immediate interventions, supporting the needs of clients
- Refer clients to appropriate services and support.
Who should attend?
This workshop is ideal for frontline workers in health, allied health, education, and community services sectors, as well as anyone who works or volunteers in a role where they may come into contact with people experiencing domestic and family violence.
If you work with women with disabilities, we recommend this course. It covers the same content as our eLearning General course with an additional focus on women with disability, and you’ll receive the same unit of competency.

National Recognition
After successfully completing the course (including assessments), you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency CHCDFV001: Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence.
