DV-alert Student Support
At DV-alert, we are committed to supporting Learners throughout their training journey - whether completing a DV-alert eLearning course (General or Working with Women with Disability), the Assessment Pathway or choosing to attend a DV-alert workshop only.
We understand many Learners are balancing study with work and personal commitments. Support options are practical and accessible and vary depending on your enrolment and stage of training. If you need guidance at any point, we encourage you to reach out - we’re here to help contact us.
How We Can Support You
A range of support services are available before enrolment and throughout your learning journey to help you achieve a successful outcome.
If you have a question about your eligibility for a DV-alert workshop or course look at the FAQ questions or contact us.
Language, Literacy & Digital Skills (LLD) Support
DV-alert offers distinct learning pathways for Learners to achieve the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence. Eligible Learners complete a short Language, Literacy & Digital Skills (LLD) Quiz during enrolment. This helps us identify any language, literacy or digital support needs.
Reasonable Adjustments & Additional Support
We are committed to providing inclusive and accessible training.
If you require additional time or support due to disability, health, personal or language needs, please contact us early so we can discuss appropriate arrangements.
DV-alert content
Domestic and family violence training explores topics such as violence, power, inequality, and trauma. These can evoke strong emotional reactions or distress. We recognise that Learners bring diverse personal histories and lived experiences into this space.
You are encouraged to prioritise self-care when engaging with your chosen course content. If you feel overwhelmed at any point, you are encouraged to:
- Take a break or step away.
- Reach out to a trusted person or support service.
Workshop Support - Talk to Your Trainer
DV-alert Trainers and Assessors are qualified, trained and equipped to deliver high-quality learning support, including for Learners with individual needs.
Learners attending the 2-Day Foundations Workshop or First Nations Workshop and 1-Day Focused Workshops can access support from their Trainer at any time. Let the Trainer know if you need support, verbally or privately after the session.
