eLearning Working with Women with Disabilities course
Free, nationally recognised training for frontline workers in Australia who prefer online learning or can’t attend a face-to-face workshop.
What it’s about
You’ll learn how to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence, how to respond to women with disabilities with appropriate care, and how to refer them to support services.
Who it's for
This workshop is for frontline workers in Australia. This includes people who provide direct service and support to the community (paid or unpaid) in sectors like health, allied health, education, childcare and community.
If you work with women with disabilities, we recommend this course. It covers the same content as our eLearning General course with an additional focus on women with disability, and you’ll receive the same unit of competency.
How it works
This is an online course. It covers 13 topics – each taking 1-2 hours to complete – plus 2 compulsory assessments. It is self-paced but we recommend completing 2 topics per week, over 6-9 weeks.
What you'll need
You will need a computer, internet access and a Unique Student Identifier to complete this course.
National accreditation
After successfully completing the course (including assessments), you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency CHCDFV001: Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence. To find out more about this unit, click here or go to training.gov.au.
